In Friday's non-league outing, the Everest Collegiate (Clarkston, MI) basketball squad nipped the visiting Lutheran Northwest Crusaders (Rochester Hills, MI), by a margin of 40-36.

The (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Cranes go into the Catholic Intersectional I outing with a 4-1 record.

The Crusaders now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Plymouth Christian Academy for a Michigan Independent - Blue outing on Tuesday, January 10.
