Mackay Miners (Mackay, ID) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grace Lutheran Royals (Pocatello, ID), 51-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Mackay upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Miners travel to Murtaugh (Murtaugh, ID) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Murtaugh lost 36-35 in their recent non-league bout against Rockland (Rockland, ID)

Next up, the Royals clash with the Sho-Ban Chiefs (Fort Hall, ID) in a 1A Rocky Mountain bout, on Saturday, December 17. Grace Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 50-29 league win over Clark County (Dubois, ID).
