The Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) basketball felled the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), 54-42 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets (4-1) will now prepare for their test against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, West Mesa was beaten by Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM), 35-26, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Manzano for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17. Valley will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 46-12 non-league loss to Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-2.
