In Friday's non-league challenge, the Rampart Rams (Colorado Springs, CO) ice hockey team nipped the visiting Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO), by a margin of 6-5.
The Rams now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Pueblo County for a 4A South challenge on Friday, January 6.
The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Battle Mountain was edged by Glenwood Springs (Glenwood Springs, CO), 9-3, in a league challenge.
