The East Lake Eagles basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Boca Ciega Pirates to 27 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Countryside for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. East Lake will battle a Cougars team coming off a 65-22 non-league win over Palm Harbor University (Palm Harbor, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 4-1.

The Pirates (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Osceola (Seminole, FL). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Osceola was routed by Northeast (St. Petersburg, FL), 34-30, in a league contest.
