Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Portola Tigers (Portola, CA), 37-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fall River upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Tulelake (Tulelake, CA) to play the Honkers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Honkers come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Tulelake lost 34-31 in their recent non-league bout against Modoc (Alturas, CA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Portola will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 43-32 non-league loss to Paradise (Paradise, CA).
