Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) and the visiting Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), saw Arcadia's basketball squad hold off Deep Creek by a tally of 87-85.

With the victory, Arcadia improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Decatur (Berlin, MD) to confront the Seahawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Decatur won 93-53 in their recent league challenge against Crisfield (Crisfield, MD)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, January 5. Deep Creek will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
