The Horseheads Blue Raiders tipped the visiting Bishop Grimes Cobras basketball team by a tally of 72-69 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Blue Raiders now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aquinas Institute for a non-league battle on Sunday, December 17. Horseheads will confront a Little Irish team coming off a 67-42 non-league win over Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY). The Little Irish record now stands at 7-0.
The Cobras (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against East (Rochester, NY). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, East edged Utica Academy of Science (Utica, NY), 70-55, in a non-league battle.
