In Saturday's non-league outing, the Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD), by a margin of 69-27.

The Coyotes (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Buffalos go into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, Stanley County was trounced by Philip (Philip, SD), 67-53, in a non-league outing.

The Cardinals now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Takini for a B Region 8 outing on Thursday, January 4. Bison will clash with a Skyhawks squad coming off a 48-45 non-league win over Oelrichs (Oelrichs, SD). The Skyhawks record now stands at 1-4.
