The Monroe Central Seminoles basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Brooke Bruins to 51 in the Seminoles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Seminoles now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magnolia for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Monroe Central will meet a Blue Eagles team coming off a 76-53 non-league loss to Union Local (Belmont, OH). The Blue Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

The Bruins (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Steubenville (Steubenville, OH). The Big Red enter the Ohio Valley AAAAA contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Steubenville was defeated by East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH), 69-59, in a non-league contest.
