The Brother Rice Crusaders topped the host Lyons Lions basketball team by a final score of 53-39 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Crusaders face the West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 22. Brother Rice will attempt to move on its 12-0 season record. The Blackhawks enter the game with a 9-2 record after their 61-48 league win over Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL).
With the defeat, Lyons moves to 2-6 on the year. The Lions travel to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to face the Hilltoppers in a West Suburban - Silver game on Tuesday, January 9. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a record of 5-5.
