The Champlain Valley Union Redhawks basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Rutland Raiders to 46 in the Redhawks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Redhawks now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellows Free Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Champlain Valley Union will battle a Bobwhites/Comets team coming off a 72-48 league win over Milton (Milton, VT). The Bobwhites/Comets record now stands at 3-0.
The Raiders (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Rutland, VT). The Green Wave come into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Mt. St. Joseph Academy prevailed over Poultney (Poultney, VT), 40-35, in a non-league contest.
