Dixon Bulldogs (Dixon, MO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host South Callaway Bulldogs (Mokane, MO), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dixon upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Belle (Belle, MO) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Chamois Pirates (Chamois, MO) in a ShowMe bout, on Tuesday, December 19. South Callaway will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 70-68 league win over New Bloomfield (New Bloomfield, MO).
