Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA) and the visiting Eastside Lions (Lancaster, CA), saw Newbury Park's basketball squad knock off Eastside by a count of 63-44.

With the victory, Newbury Park upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Foothill Tech (Ventura, CA) to play the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Foothill Tech lost 44-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Buena Park (Buena Park, CA)

Next up, the Lions play the Highland Bulldogs (Palmdale, CA) in a Golden challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Eastside will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 44-42 league win over Quartz Hill (Quartz Hill, CA).
