The Pewitt Brahmas basketball team (Omaha, TX), was routed 65-44 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX)

The Yellowjackets now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson for a 3A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, December 19. Elysian Fields will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-39 non-league loss to Hooks (Hooks, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-4.

The Brahmas (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against De Kalb (De Kalb, TX). The Bears come into the 3A Region II District 14 battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, De Kalb trounced Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX), 48-37, in a non-league battle.
