The Rutherford Bulldogs basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Emerson Cavaliers to 60 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Secaucus for a Northwest Jersey - National contest on Tuesday, December 19. Rutherford will meet a Patriots team coming off a 63-56 non-league loss to Waldwick (Waldwick, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.

The Cavaliers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Passaic Valley (Little Falls, NJ). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Passaic Valley was nudged by Passaic (Passaic, NJ), 47-36, in a non-league contest.
