Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the North Murray Mountaineers (Chatsworth, GA) and the visiting Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), saw North Murray's basketball squad hold off Gilmer by a tally of 85-78.

With the victory, North Murray improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host McMinn Central (Englewood, TN) to play the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. McMinn Central won 65-53 in their recent league challenge against Meigs County (Decatur, TN)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Coahulla Creek Colts (Dalton, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Gilmer will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 61-40 non-league win over Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA).
