California High School Basketball - Independence holds off Kingsburg

December 16, 2023: Kingsburg, CA 93631

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) and the host Kingsburg Vikings (Kingsburg, CA), saw Independence's basketball squad hold off Kingsburg by a tally of 45-42.

With the victory, Independence improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Sunnyside (Fresno, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Immanuel Eagles (Reedley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Kingsburg will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 70-67 non-league loss to El Capitan (Merced, CA).
