The Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) basketball crushed the host Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS), 97-71 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Ashland (Ashland, MS). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Ashland was trounced by Pine Grove (Ripley, MS), 50-37, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Mooreville for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Mantachie will encounter a Troopers squad coming off a 66-55 non-league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Troopers record now stands at 3-9.
