McDermitt Bulldogs (McDermitt, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ), 52-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDermitt upgrades its record to 1-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV) to clash with the Lakers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Pyramid Lake lost 66-33 in their recent non-league bout against Lowry (Winnemucca, NV)

Next up, the clash with the Charlotte Trojans (Charlotte, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 45-138 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 2-16 record after their 52-44 non-league loss to John Paul II (Corpus Christi, TX).
