Maryland High School Basketball - New Hope Academy knocked off by Sandy Spring Friends

December 16, 2023: Sandy Spring, MD 20860

The Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting New Hope Academy to 63 in the Wildebeests non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildebeests now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Takoma Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, December 18. Sandy Spring Friends will meet a Tigers team coming off a 60-28 non-league win over Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, DC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.

The (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Highland (Warrenton, VA). The Hawks enter the VISAA Division II contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Highland ran past Springdale Prep (New Windsor, MD), 77-47, in a league contest.
