Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pope upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-4. South Paulding lost 73-46 in their recent non-league bout against St. Anne-Pacelli (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets (Marietta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Woodstock will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 73-54 non-league win over Woodstock (Woodstock, GA).
