Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers (Bronx, NY), 58-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Holy Cross upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Knights host Bishop Loughlin (Brooklyn, NY) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Sunday, December 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Mt. St. Michael Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
