California Trojans (Coal Center, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 58-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, California upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Carmichaels (Carmichaels, PA) to clash with the Mighty Mikes in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout on Monday, December 18. The Mighty Mikes go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Carmichaels lost 45-34 in their recent non-league bout against Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA)

Next up, the Maples clash with the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams (Confluence, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Mapletown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 51-19 league loss to Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA).
