Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Emmaus Hornets (Emmaus, PA), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Scranton upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Knights host West Scranton (Scranton, PA) to play the Invaders in a Lackawanna 1 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Invaders go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Hornets play the Liberty Hurricanes (Bethlehem, PA) in a Lehigh Valley bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Emmaus will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 56-47 league win over Louis E. Dieruff (Allentown, PA).
