Illinois High School Basketball - Richland County can't hold off Fieldcrest

December 16, 2023: Olney, IL 62450

The Fieldcrest Knights basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Richland County Tigers to 43 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fisher for a Heart Of Illinois contest on Monday, December 18. Fieldcrest will battle a Bunnies team coming off a 43-36 non-league win over Academy (Champaign, IL). The Bunnies record now stands at 8-6.

The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Goreville (Goreville, IL). The Blackcats enter the non-league contest with a 14-0 record. In their last contest, Goreville nudged Trico (Campbell Hill, IL), 57-26, in a league contest.
