The Floyd Central Highlanders trounced the visiting Salem Lions basketball team by a tally of 57-17 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Highlanders now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Borden for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 19. Floyd Central will battle a Braves team coming off a 52-43 non-league win over Madison (Madison, IN). The Braves record now stands at 10-1.

The Lions (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against New Albany (New Albany, IN). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, New Albany was overwhelmed by Providence (Clarksville, IN), 70-44, in a non-league battle.
