Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fort Madison Bloodhounds (Fort Madison, IA), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Notre Dame upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Nikes travel to West Branch (West Branch, IA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 2-5. West Branch won 41-28 in their recent league bout against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA)

Next up, the Bloodhounds play the Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) in a Southeast bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Fort Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
