The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) basketball knocked off the host George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), 35-27 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mavericks (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA). The Blue Storm go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Mercersburg Academy went down by St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA), 62-46, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. George Washington will encounter a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 48-28 non-league loss to William Monroe (Stanardsville, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 7-2.
