The Walnut Grove Tigers basketball squad scored 46 points and limited the visiting Hume Hornets to 40 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.

With the win, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Tigers host Hurley (Hurley, MO) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Hurley lost 37-31 in their recent non-league bout against Pleasant Hope (Pleasant Hope, MO)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Wheatland Mules (Wheatland, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Hume will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Mules go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 44-42 non-league loss to Appleton City (Appleton City, MO).
