The King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), 44-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (3-11) will now prepare for their test against Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Santa Gertrudis Academy got by Odem (Odem, TX), 36-11, in a non-league test.

The Buccaneers now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Tuloso-Midway for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. Miller will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 51-23 league win over Robstown (Robstown, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-10.
