The New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) basketball nipped the host Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran (Pawnee, IL), 37-35 in Saturday's league test.

The Vipers (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL). The Wildcats go into the MSM test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Mt. Olive was tipped by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 64-21, in a non-league test.

The now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host North Greene for a non-league test on Monday, December 18. Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 67-19 league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 1-8.
