Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Crestview Rebels (Columbiana, OH), 20-11 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Minerva upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Tuscarawas Valley (Zoarville, OH) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 18. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Tuscarawas Valley won 41-17 in their recent non-league bout against Dover (Dover, OH)

Next up, the Rebels play the Newton Falls Tigers (Newton Falls, OH) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. Crestview will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
