In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Simsbury Trojans (Simsbury, CT) ice hockey team nudged the host Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT), by a margin of 4-3.
The Trojans now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Canaan for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 20. Simsbury will clash with a Rams team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Fairfield Prep (Fairfield, CT). The Rams record now stands at 2-0.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Lancers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Notre Dame Catholic was edged by Hamden (Hamden, CT), 3-2, in a league challenge.
