Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Central Spartans (El Centro, CA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders confront the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Helix will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 2-2 non-league Olympian (Chula Vista, CA).

The Spartans now have a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grossmont for a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. Central will confront a Foothillers team coming off a 3-3 non-league Helix (La Mesa, CA). The Foothillers record now stands at 2-3.
