The Avoca Central Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Alfred-Almond Eagles to 25 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Tigers now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Andover for a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. Avoca Central will confront a Panthers team coming off a 78-46 non-league win over Houghton Academy (Houghton, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Alfred-Almond falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Canisteo-Greenwood (Canisteo, NY) to confront the Chargers in a Section 5 Steuben 1 game on Thursday, December 19. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 3-0. Canisteo-Greenwood won 60-42 in their recent non-league game against Wayland-Cohocton (Wayland, NY)
