The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Grand Lake Hornets (Lake Charles, LA) and the host Gueydan Bears (Gueydan, LA), observed Grand Lake's basketball team overwhelm Gueydan by a score of 69-35.

The Hornets (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, East Beauregard trounced Bolton Academy (Alexandria, LA), 68-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Gueydan will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
