The Monroe County Falcons basketball team scored 70 points and limited the host Caverna Colonels to 23 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Monday.

The Falcons now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Metcalfe County for a District 16 game on Friday, December 20. Monroe County will confront a Hornets team coming off a 76-67 league loss to Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Caverna falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Larue County (Hodgenville, KY) to confront the Hawks in a District 18 game on Tuesday, December 17. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 1-5. Larue County won 53-48 in their recent league game against Hart County (Munfordville, KY)
