In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting South Side Hornet basketball team scored a big 55-25 triumph over the Hector Wildcats.
The Hornet (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR). The Warhawks go into the 2A Region 5 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Mt. Vernon-Enola was trounced by Quitman (Quitman, AR), 55-32, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Nemo Vista Red Hawks (Center Ridge, AR) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Hector will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Red Hawks go into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 75-27 league win over Midland (Pleasant Plains, AR).
