Kentucky High School Basketball - Montgomery County knocks off Russell

December 16, 2024: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Montgomery County Indians basketball team scored a good 46-35 win over the Russell Red Devils.

The Indians (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels come into the District 40 contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Bourbon County defeated Collins (Shelbyville, KY), 64-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. Russell will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Pioneers come into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 53-51 non-league loss to Southern (Oakland, MD).
