The Cascade Cadets (Clayton, IN) basketball edged the visiting Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN), 39-36 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Cadets now possess a 8-5 record.

With the loss, Western Boone falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Danville (Danville, IN) to play the Warriors in a bout on Friday, January 24. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-4.
