The Wyoming Valley West Spartans basketball team scored 42 points and limited the host Scranton Knights to 31 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Valley View for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17.

With the loss, Scranton falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to North Pocono (Covington Township, PA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 0-0.
