The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) and the host Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY), observed Wayland-Cohocton's basketball team knock off Avoca Central by a score of 70-51.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hornell (Hornell, NY). The Red Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Hornell was knocked off by Rochester Prep (Rochester, NY), 42-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Andover Panthers (Andover, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Avoca Central will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
