The Union Academy Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Piedmont Panthers to 27 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cardinals now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Central for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Union Academy will play a Eagles team coming off a 35-30 non-league win over North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Piedmont falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to play the Bearcats in a non-league game on Friday, December 20. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 7-1. Anson lost 34-32 in their recent non-league game against Central (Pageland, SC)
