    In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Mott Corsairs basketball team scored a close 61-60 triumph over the Kearsley Hornets.

    With the victory, Mott upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Corsairs travel to Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI) to face the Big Reds in a non-league match on Thursday, December 18. The Big Reds enter the match with a record of 3-1. Chippewa Valley won 71-57 in their recent non-league match against Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI)

    The Hornets now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swartz Creek for a Flint Metro match on Friday, December 19. Kearsley will face a Dragons squad coming off a 63-44 non-league loss to Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth, MI). The Dragons record now stands at 2-3.
