Fremont Eagles (Fremont, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Angola Hornets (Angola, IN), 55-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fremont upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Woodlan (Woodburn, IN) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Woodlan won 66-38 in their recent non-league bout against Churubusco (Churubusco, IN)

Next up, the Hornets play the Hamilton Marines (Hamilton, IN) in a Northeast Corner bout, on Thursday, December 29. Angola will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Marines come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 66-39 non-league loss to Hilltop (West Unity, OH).
