Florida High School Basketball - George Jenkins knocked off by Sumner

The Sumner Stingrays basketball team scored 73 points and held the host George Jenkins Eagles to 58 in the Stingrays non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Stingrays now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strawberry Crest for a 7A District 11 contest on Friday, December 23. Sumner will battle a Chargers team coming off a 71-52 non-league win over King (Tampa, FL). The Chargers record now stands at 5-6.

The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Williston (Williston, FL). The Red Devils enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Williston was defeated by Buchholz (Gainesville, FL), 46-43, in a non-league contest.
