In Saturday's non-league outing, the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA), by a margin of 67-63.

The Purple Hurricanes (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Seckinger (Buford, GA). The Jaguars go into the non-league outing with a 8-3 record.

The Raiders now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeview Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 20. Habersham Central will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 58-50 non-league win over Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Lions record now stands at 3-5.
