Howard Huskies (Macon, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northeast Raiders (Macon, GA), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Howard upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Bleckley County won 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Houston County (Warner Robins, GA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The War Eagles come into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 65-42 non-league win over Oxford (Oxford, MS).
