Delaware High School Basketball - West Philadelphia nipped by Howard

December 17, 2022: Wilmington, DE 19801

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Howard Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 61-58 triumph over the West Philadelphia Speedboys.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 21. Howard will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 68-33 non-league win over Perkiomen School (Pennsburg, PA).

With the defeat, West Philadelphia moves to 2-7 on the year. The Speedboys travel to North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Sunday, December 18. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 2-2. North Catholic lost 78-69 in their recent non-league match against Archbishop Wood (Warminster, PA)
